30 Pikachu Cards — One in Every Booster

Pikachu naturally plays a major role in Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

Every 30th Celebration booster guarantees one of 30 different Pikachu rare cards. Each version features its own artwork, illustrator and attacks, giving collectors an entire Pikachu subset to chase.

Pokémon has also revealed two Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare cards designed around the Day and Night themes that appear throughout the anniversary collection.

For collectors who enjoy completing subsets, this makes opening boosters more interesting: every pack guarantees another entry in the 30-card Pikachu collection.

Nostalgia Meets a New Rarity

The anniversary expansion includes a Classic Collection featuring reprints of important Pokémon TCG cards from previous generations.

At the same time, Pokémon is introducing Futuristic Rare cards, a completely new rarity debuting with 30th Celebration. Mew and Mewtwo are among the first Pokémon revealed in this style, illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.

This contrast between historic cards and futuristic artwork gives the set a clear identity instead of making it simply another reprint expansion.

Day & Night

One of the strongest visual themes running through 30th Celebration is the contrast between Day and Night.

Espeon represents the brighter Day side of the anniversary, while Umbreon represents Night. Sylveon and Greninja also appear in Day- and Night-inspired products, and the ten Mini Tin artworks combine into two separate scenes based around the same concept.

The theme reaches its peak with the two Ultra-Premium Collections. One features Espeon ex and a Day-themed Pikachu ex, while the other features Umbreon ex and a Night-themed Pikachu ex.

Exclusive Products Matter

The 30th anniversary lineup also contains several items aimed directly at collectors.

The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box includes an exclusive Nidorina promo stamped with the Pokémon Center logo and two additional boosters compared with the standard ETB.

The Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections include dedicated sculpted figures, while the Ditto Premium Collection includes a reusable acrylic card display. The Day and Night Ultra-Premium Collections add exclusive promo cards and a special Classic Collection booster that is not part of a regular booster configuration.
